The main focus of altruistic behavior is helping others just for the good of doing it. Altruistic behavior in simple terms is when an individual helping another individual or group but the individual who aided the other has reduced fitness. In the end of it all altruism also contributes to the next generation. It is almost like a preparation for those weak or not capable organism that others individuals help out. You can think of it as a sacrifice or a favor that one individual performs to help others for their greater good.

It is obvious that altruism behavior is much more beneficial and in general better for all organisms. I am talking about both humans and animals interacting with their species more with altruism behavior would be great for the environment and help future generations succeed. Although altruism is all good and dandy for the environment I am very confused on how many animals have showed this behavior. In the animals kingdom it is usually every man for himself, so when I found this I was a little shocked, amazed, and admired the animals for that. For humans it would be great if there was more altruism because now in our day and age many people are sly, and it would be great if more people helped each other out for a common good.

Altruism behavior has been around since the first organism have been here and things have progressed like they have until someone noticed this behavior, Charles Darwin. There have been many different views and theories paged about altruism and Darwin's theory of Natural Selection ties in with it. However Darwin's theory has been contradicted and it wasn't until later when E.O. Wilson came in and solidified new ground called Kin Selection. Kin Selection was stated where altruistic behavior would be more successful and genes would be passed down throughout generations. Wilson also showed that altruism emerged a but more as protecting groups.
