NY and GA:

3rd M-R (Mostly P/Q) 1-3 pages for each text; 4 passages on day 1; 3 passages on day 2 

4th N-U (Mostly R/S) 1-4 pages for each text; 4 passages on day 1; 3 passages on day 2

5th P-W (Mostly T/U) 1-6 pages for each text; 5 passages on day 1; 3 passages on day 2

6th P-W (Mostly T/U) 1-6 pages for each text; 5 passages on day 1; 3 passages on day 2

7th R-V/W (Mostly T/UV) 

8th S-Z (mostly VW/X)

For students below the minimum level, the teacher should work on reading.  Refer to characteristics by reading levels.

On Day 1, read passage and read the text box - How do they build on each other; synthesize on each other?

The two passages for writing work are one low level and one high level on the same topic.
