In this position, he guides a publicly traded company that provides a range of data and Internet of Things (IoT) services for the energy sector. Russ McMeekin handles all strategic, financial, and operational leadership duties for the company, which he formed by merging three separate entities. Russ McMeekin holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Sault College of Technology in Saint Ste. Marie, Ontario, and completed advanced training at Stanford University and Harvard University. Prior to his role with Universal mCloud, Mr. McMeekin held a number of leadership positions with prominent companies in the technology and energy sectors, including spending more than a decade with Honeywell. He also served as a partner with Energy Knowledge, which was eventually acquired by Tokyo-based Yokogawa Electric Corp. Outside of his professional life, Mr. McMeekin pursues a diverse range of hobbies that includes diving and sailing.
