He most recently served as CEO of Swank Mattress Company, a regional distributor of private label mattresses that he founded in 2012. Prior to this, Darren Downen served as a national sales director at Vitamist and an independent consultant at Your Travel Biz. He earned executive-level status at the latter company. Earlier in his career, Darren Downen owned a pair of Smooth Moves Juice Bars in Tennessee and served as an independent operator of an Avis Car Rental franchise in Memphis. He has additional experience in the auto sector as a managing partner of Riverside Auto Auction. He spent the first 9 years of his career as manager and chief operating officer of Road Runner Management Company.
