Then you have to multiply by how you got your lowest common denominator. Next you would have to subtract and then get your answer. But when you have a common fraction&nbsp;all you have to do is subtract right then and there.&nbsp;<br><br>EX:<br>3/4 -3/8 now you would do 3/4 X 2/2 =6/8 Then you would do 6/8 - 3/8 = 3/8&nbsp;<br><br>In conclusion it is harder to subtract unlike fractions then it is to subtract like fractions.</div>]]></description>

Its also hard because you have to find the denominator and when you do that you have to multiply the numerator as many times as you did to the denominator when you find the common denomanator.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The reason why it's not the easiest to subtract unlike denominators is because you have to find the common denominator unlike what you have to do to the like denominators which is just subtract the numerators.Its not the easiest to subtract unlike denominators also because "Whatever you do to the denominator you have to do to the numerator", so when you multiply you're denominator to fit into your "common denominator' whatever you multiply it by that's what you have to multiply your numerator by so you can find your LDC.With the like detonator it's less difficult because you have the same denominators because when this happens , you just have to subtract the the least greatest numerator by the greatest numerator and you will get your " easier difference to find"the LDC.If you would like to see some examples scroll down below.<br>&nbsp;<br>Like fract:Exp:8/12 minus3/12=<br>Answer: 5/12<br>Prt 1:<br>Unlike fract:Exp:4/8minus7/24=<br>Answer:5/24<br>Prt 2:<br>Unlike fract:Exp:2/3minus3/7<br>Answer: 5/21<br><br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

If you dont find a LCD  then most likely you can not subtract the fractions. What I mean is both of the denominators have to be the exact same to subtract the fraction</div>]]></description>
