1. My comprehension of history is not very good so I hope that the comprehension is minimal.
2. I do better when I am able to read in the classroom. As a group, is most helpful.
3. I am pretty good at talking to people, and I feel that is one of my strengths in life.

1. The project shows that the current generations are beginning to video the elders of their stories that they had happen in the past. These videos not only will be able to be kept for awhile, but they will be more personal since he is sitting down with his own Grandmother.
2.The videos impact the way that the story comes out. Being that she is speaking with his Grandmother, it is very personal and thorough.
3. His intention was to inform and persuade people that videos of past generations will help to know what went on in the past.

I don't feel that they gave an incentive to much reasoning of why the Redskins name was a good thing. Therefore, I believe that it is bias toward the change of names.

I think that society changing their mind on name changing isn't okay. I believe that the name changing had benefits, but also hurt the program as some people loved the Redskin name so much.

I feel that Anne noticed Shakespeare as a great poet, and wanted to style her writing alike to Shakespeare's. In the story, the author state, "Shakespeare was still alive when Anne Bradstreet was born, and like many budding poets, she found in Shakespeare, and in other great English poets, sources of inspiration and technique that would one day run like threads of gold through the fabric of her own work." This contradicts the Puritan beliefs and lifestyles are. Puritans are known to be different than others, and to branch off into a new lifestyle, or poet writing.

I feel doing something you love everyday will make you successful, as well as happy. I am one that uses my infatuation with showing cattle to make me a successful and happy person. Every morning and night I start my day by working with my show calves. I feel the habit and ritual I have imposed have made me a happier person.

I have learned and noticed this from doing it myself. It truly has helped me be a successful young man.

What does this video show us about the depiction of the devil throughout literature?
It is related to the devil of the Old Testament in the bible. Although, the devil is typically a minor charactor in the old testament, while being a major character in the new testament.

Why do you think writers from the Romantic period shifted away from the Puritan style of morally good characters and began writing about characters who made bad choices?

I feel they did this to relate it to the bible. In the bible, it started off as the devil being a minor thing, in the new testament, it is a major thing.

According to the video, how did Whitman revolutionize American poetry?

Whitman took place in making his voice heard on major disasters and political events, through his poems. He made sure to write these poems in times that people were going through rough times.

1)A way to describe one thing by saying something else. A way to feel and hear something differently.

2) Spans over multiple lines.

3) Harvest is taking an eternity! We have to take all the time and effort in our lives and put it toward the goal of getting done. It is all I think about as it is what I do immediately when I get home.

Describe the differences in the way these two photos depict their subjects.
One of the people are seeming to look pretty and model-like, while the other is cool, calm, and collected.

Based on what you know about Romanticism, what Romantic elements can you find in this painting?
The chair that the girl on the right is sitting in is a chair that looks like a devil's throne. The girl on the left looks like she is holding a quill, signaling she may be a poet.

What might be one defining difference between Realism and Romanticism when related to art?
Romanticism shows the looks and romantic aspects of a person or situation. While Realism shows the true parts that are needed to happen in a situation or in a person.

Of the three themes discussed in the video, which one do you believe best fits the story?

Mortality.

Explain why this theme best fits the story.

I feel that Louise shows that she is so sad from her husband's death that it stems her to have a flare up in her heart condition. This shows that Louise cared for her husband and mortality is hard to get over.

We've discussed some ways that literature and art were changed as a result of WWI, but how were families impacted?

Many families were left without a male figure as many fathers left to fight in the war. Along with this, mother figures worked long hours in factories making enough money to keep the family afloat.

What positive changes resulted for people?

One positive change was political views. Another one was the advancement in technology.

Were there any negative results mentioned in the video? If so, what were they?

None that stood out.
