She stopped him and got to keep the pig and bottle feed it. Soon it got to big to be inside so she made a pen for it. But later on, they had to give the pig away to their uncle, Homer Zuckerman. He took care of the pig. But Wilbur was lonely and had no friends at the farm because Fern had school. Every day after school though Fern would visit him. Later Wilbur met a friend, Charlotte.
    One of the animals at the farm had told Wilbur they were fattening up to butcher him. But Charlotte was tempted to save his life, so she wrote a word in her web. Everyone knew about it and people were coming from around everywhere to see. Charlotte had Templeton, the rat, go fetch pieces of paper with writing on it. She put words such as terrific in the web. 
    They had soon decided to take Wilbur to the fair. Charlotte and Templeton came along. Templeton became fatter and fatter by the days. Fern would stop coming to see Wilbur no because her and her friend Henry Fussy would hang out. Charlotte was busy too, she built herself an egg sack; the babies would arrive next spring. They met another pig named Uncle but he wasn't as clean.
