Prior to the opening ceremony and right after the conferences ended I was among those helping prepare classrooms for sessions.

On Sunday, the last day, I was taking pictures on the closing ceremony.

Representing Sierra Leone I had a direct interest in having the DRC-Rwanda conflict resolved, beginning with complete ceasefire in eastern DRC. Together with colleagues we prepared a united resolution under the “Koryca” name.

Getting back to schedule was not the easy task, however I felt I was developing more the further I went.

I later found out this could be defined as on the go development, which sounds very close, and, in this case both efficient and interesting.

There two swimming pools - the small one for learning and the huge 50meter one.. also for having classes. But it is longer and deeper.

Together with other participating pupils we talked to strangers in the center of Warsaw and were handing out the paper daffodils that symbolize the 1943 Ghetto Uprising.

With each new smiling person it became easier to ask them to take a flower and tell brief history of the events.

I was surprised by how many people knew exactly what the anniversary is about and how many tourists have thanked us for the introductions.

When leaving Warsaw to go home there’s a longer comfortable route with a bike path put along the high wall separating it from the highway, and a shortcut through the Marki. This time I took the shortcut. As it has no bike lanes it was significantly less good than riding in Warsaw.

Together with the Head of PR I work on gathering sponsors for a greater output of the event.
