Usually, the evidence in a journalistic piece is spread out throughout the whole article. The author wants to use quotes in specific areas planned out so the piece can flow better. The structure of a piece has a beginning, middle, and end. It also has reasoning and evidence. The piece is usually organized like an essay, just less opinionated and more fact based. All these things tie together to make a good piece with a good structure that is organized and easy to read.

Authors use a specific structure to help the reader learn as much as they can about the topic without them getting bored and leaving. They use short paragraphs that show more information in each one sometimes using a quote. The authors will have many of these paragraphs and will have headings to organize the piece so it is not confusing to the reader. To end the piece I have noticed that they use humor to get the reader to laugh at the end and maybe relate to it.
