We built a volcano with recycled materials, plastic cups, cardboard, newspaper and materials collected in the school garden (grass, stones, pine cones, twigs, seeds...), then we made it erupt using red tempera, vinegar, baking soda and dish soap.

In the Discovery section, we watched the videos related to the subject. In the description section, we connected with Science, Mathematics and Art. We dealt with the subject of the field. We watched videos about the making of the event. In the deepening section, we sought answers to the questions. In the design section, we first drew and then created the prototype. The toys made in the evaluation section were introduced. Self-assessment and teacher evaluation were done. We also removed our Carbon Footprint

By reading Jane's story, I made my students realize the importance of water in our lives, that it is wrong to pollute the environment, and that we can recycle waste materials, make them beneficial to nature and reduce our carbon footprint. We finished our story reading with questions and answers.

Activity 2-Carbon Footprint
For the footprint work, we first read our story. We discussed the story.
We agreed that we could make our own toy. We searched for videos about it. With the common decision of the class, we decided to make a dwarf toy with knitting threads. While creating the toy, we had difficulties especially in the hat part. We solved the problems together by producing various tactics and helping each other. We have produced very good products. We evaluated ourselves with evaluation questionnaires.
