A group can be referred to as 2 or more people who work together or share a hobby, or a group can just be a gathering of people. There are many types of groups. People in large groups that may not know each other are known as secondary groups. On the other hand, there are primary groups, that are a small knit group of people. There are many reasons why someone would like to join a group. Groups can be powerful and/or may provide protection. Groups can provide a feeling of belonging and inclusion and may become a family that will stay with you no matter what. Groups may promote positive or negative behavior, and some groups may force someone to be in it like a cult. You may also want to be apart of a group because they help provide a change in the world someway or another. One example of a group is a political party. Political parties provide a change in the world and can be powerful.
