Paljon kauniita maisemia, vehreys ja metsää sekä niittyjä ja eläimiä. Siisteys, ei roskia tms. 

2. Millainen on itävaltalaisen ihmisen luontosuhde? Ilmeneekö se mitenkään? Vertaa sitä omaasi / suomalaisen luontosuhteeseen. 

Itävallassa ei ole niin paljon ns. Retkeilykulttuuria eikä mahdollisuutta esim. tulen tekemiseen tai muihin suomalaisille tuttuihin retkeilyyn liittyviin asioihin (esim. Kodat, avotulipaikat)

Korkeuserot; vuoret ja vehreys. 

4. Mitä asioita arvostat suomalaisessa luonnossa ja ympäristössä Itävallassa vierailtuasi? 

Omanlaisensa, karumpi luonto, esim. Tunturit.

Maisemat, joihin suomalainen ei ole tottunut.

Typical for Finland (Northern Finland) are of course the fells, thick layers of snow everywhere, wide landscapes of pure nature without any signs of cities or towns, aurora borealis and reindeer. On the other hand Austria has gigantic mountains, a wider variety of trees and plants, tougher hiking trails, animals we saw were cows, snails, snakes, fish, etc. I think it’s best to visit Finland in the winter and Austria in the summer. These are the times that the countries shine most in.

The Austrians we have met, were all very friendly, kind, hospitable, relaxed. Many didn’t speak English or very little, which is mostly probably because they rarely need it.
 I can’t notice any huge difference to Finnish people, maybe only that the Austrians are more outgoing.

3. Parasta itävaltalaisessa luonnossa?
 
There are many great things in Austrian nature. From the fantastic mountains to the many different trees and other plants. The best for that was the walk in the Ötschergräben, which ran between the mountains with a river and waterfalls running through.

4. Mitä asioita arvostat suomalaisessa luonnossa ja ympäristössä Itävallassa vierailtuasi?
 
Finnish nature seems quite bland after being in Austria, especially with the current weather. In my opinion, Lapland is prettiest in the winter, when everything is covered by a thick snow blanket, which makes everything look magical.

5. Mitä mieleenpainuvaa, luontoon selkeästi liittyvää, nostaisit matkan ajalta esille?
 
Well as i mentioned before, the Ötschergräben were the prettiest and most remarkable to see the different mountain shapes, rivers, waterfalls and plants growing in between.
 Another thing I really liked, was when we went swimming in Türnitz in the natural swimming pool, which I thought was a great idea to use natural plant and animals (little snails) to keep the pools clean instead of chemicals like chlorine.

• using  wood for daily purposes

• From an industrial perspective, nature is used, for e.g. heating, furniture, buildings, farming, food and drinks (wine, ciders, syrups,…)

The diversity, ever-changing nature from alps to flat farmlands, Forests and river areas, like the Danube river

More freedom to roam in the wilderness in Finland, e.g. the Everymen´s Right, for e.g. free to camp, pick berries, fishing.

In Austria, the climate, offering longer growing season gives rise to richer forests and the diversity of the Austrian nature, combined with the warmer climate seems more alive.
