I would love to use this for an autoethnography in my classroom! My only concern with ARCGIS is the credibility of some of the information? I saw one map about C-PTSD and I wondered how they got that information and if it really shows ALL C-PTSD cases in Los Angeles, and how we can know that the data is legit and comprehensive

How does ARCGIS allow for data input on larger scales such as if students wanted to create polling number maps or does it allow for them to pull data from pre-made maps?

What do y’all think about providing a padlet for parent/family questions?

StoryMaps can be created for public use and there is a huge library! I used one for history of hip hop lesson in my AP human geo class last year.

Take it easy on Will - he probably read the script someone at ArcGIS gave to him after spending so much money paying for his time for a little celeb PR bump ;)

One immediate idea that I have in mind is having students post the political cartoons they created on Padlet. Students can then analyze and identify their classmate's message or perspective behind the political cartoon while it's on the wall. Is the ArcGIS app only for the United States, or can other students pull up maps from other countries?

What grade level do you recommend using this?

This is great for students being intentional and making real world connections for what they learn in any subject matter such as social studies/communities, society & economics, even the importance of data in math!
