         <title>In answer to my own question- I see the flipped video/direct instruction as the asynchronous piece, with assignments and notes, and the post video activity, as the synchronous piece. I think at the high school level this is perhaps a good way to oragnize the thinking around this. </title>

         <title>When I used this model, the biggest struggle was students shifting their thinking that the homework &quot;has&quot; to be done in order for the class time to be effective. It was a steep curve for kiddos not used to homework, but eventually they got it dialed in.</title>
