Here, the NYPD stormed a gay club and arrested many LGBTQ persons, seeking refuge from the unwelcoming outside. Previously, I thought the LGBTQ movement had sprung up in the past decade. I know realize this is because the movement reached its height in the mid 2010s with the passage of many pieces of legislation such as the Obergfell v.
