As an architect i would consider my own personal designs to build a sustainable building that is environmentally friendly by adding solar energy on the outer walls of the building and an eco sensor that automatically turns the ac on when someone is around and turns off directly when no one is in the area to reduce the use of electricty.

I think the function of the building is more important than the appearance because quality is a major aspect when it comes to buildings for it to avoid any construction errors. On the other hand, appearance is still considered yet not as much because it just attracts people to pay attention and feel the need to explore the final project.

From an architect view I would suggest adding some features when building a sustainable home would be first the location I would avoid building my home where the sun is exposed helping my home keep cool also places where it won't be effected by hurricanes or floods like in Japan .When building a sustainable building everything needs to be eco - friendly including the roofs , floor and windows so I would try and incorporate many functional natural products. Also I would consider smaller buildings as it has less impact than a larger building.Lastly add solar panels and use eco - friendly lights to save more on the cost of energy used.

2)Both factors play a big role when it comes to the Importance of buildings , However despite the exterior/ interior design the sustainability is determined by the function of the building as it will lasts and be useful in the long term run. Without functional equipment and materials used when constructing the building it will result in many problems and will cost the person more and leads pollution and other things which will harm the earth and environment . Whereas certain people find the design of the building much more appealing than the function as it helps the appearance of the area .

1) if I was an architect I would consider to add more modern and detailed design to build a sustainable building with adding more windows on all the sides so, sun light can freely enter the building from all sides I would also add polar panels on the top of the building to convert sun light energy into electricity.

2) the function is more important than the beauty because if the finishing of the building was bad people will not accept to rent and the sustainability is judged by the function of the building.

if i was an architect i would most probably attempt to design buildings the way the citizens want them as well as how they want them and it'll be as a purpose to make it a sustainable one by adding solar panels and having renewable energy stored

Yes, the beauty of the building is something people would like to watch yet it's not as important as the way the building functions, it is called a sustainable building for a reason, it needs to have more windows in order to have more sun exposed to it, when people would se such good work they'd consider visiting this building more often.

1)If I was an architect I would design modern building that depend on the solar system and less fusel fuel with and the rooms will be using electricity as least as possible. Since I live in Dubai which is a hot country the building will be made of concrete and then painted in white since it's the least attracting color to the heat

2)I would consider both outer appearance and inner. However, I will give more consideration to the function. If people lived there they will be fully satisfied by the amenities we have. Rooms should always have a wall made of glass so the room will have enough light so the electricity wouldn't be used. Special kind of windows will be put so the heat wouldn't access and the air condition will always be switched of.

1. As an Architect I will grow many plants , I will use solar panels ; to generate electricity , high thermal performance windows ; instead of opening lights and use huge amount of electricity , thermal storage basement to concrete store daytime heat and provides nighttime cooling ,and use renewable energy as wind turbines.

2.The function is more important than the beauty of building , the beauty is an easy thing to be considered despite , the function needs to be will planned , so in my opinion the function is important . By having a good a function , other things will become easier , it helps to have useful and more appropriate building .
