         <description><![CDATA[<div>Meitner was forced to flee to Sweden to escape the Nazi Regime in Germany, so she did not physically take part in the chemical experiments that proved nuclear fission. However, she did theorize what would happen and give direction to Hahn  through letters, and also applied many existing equations and theories to explain nuclear fission from a physics standpoint. </div>]]></description>
