<title>Ignorance - Past and Present by Ahmed Mansour</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/ahmedgamil753/c91l32777qtcmkf</link>
<description>Historically, societies have experienced periods of moral and ethical decline, similar to the age of ignorance (Jahiliyyah) before Islam and in pre-Islamic Arabia, where corruption, dishonesty, and materialism dominated, leading to oppression, injustice, and social divisions. The weak, including women, slaves, and the poor, were often mistreated, much like the ongoing injustices seen in modern times. Just as tribal arrogance dictated power and status in Jahiliyyah society, today’s world witnesses similar patterns through materialism, nationalism, and racial discrimination. The rejection of truth due to misinformation was a challenge during the Prophet’s (PBUH) time, just as false narratives in modern media shape public perception today. Harmful addictions such as alcohol and gambling, prevalent before Islam, now manifest in different forms like drug abuse and excessive social media consumption. The first revelation, commanding the Prophet (PBUH) to &quot;Read&quot; (Iqra), highlights the importance of education in combating ignorance, a lesson still relevant in addressing today’s challenges. The Prophet’s (PBUH) wisdom, patience, and commitment to justice serve as a timeless example for overcoming moral and social crises in the modern world.</description>
