A couple months before he was hospitalized so we were planning on visiting him just in case to say our last goodbyes. Especially since my mom’s mom died suddenly and we never got to say goodbye to her either. Sadly though he passed before we arrived but my mom still had the closure because she had checked in on him a week or so before.
