One side of the assemblage features dull, rough, dark, and dead features. This section was made from leaf litter under a gum tree and some pieces of bark from the gum tree. I layered and grouped those pieces to one side. The other side of the assemblage is bright, lively, and vibrant. With features of greenery and geranium flowers from my garden. 
This assemblage is a mixture of varying shapes, colours and textures, authentically resembling my own gardens.

The flowers were created from old boxes and magazine pages. 
They were cut into flowers and grouped together before being held together with plastic. The plastic was repurposed from item wrapping. 
This art piece shows that you can create something beautiful from something old. 
In a classroom, I would discuss overconsumption in todays society and our wasteful tendencies. I would task the class with creating their own recycled artworks, as well as actively recycling at home and at school. This links back to student's real-lives, where they likely see recycle bins often but may not use them. The animation demonstrates a situation in which someone does not know which bin to put their plastic drink container into. A recycling teacher character comes to help, and educates us about what we should recycle and why. Creating stop motion animations that convey an important message is an activity that can be completed in the classroom. There are three components in the pattern called "boom, snap, clap". Boom is hitting your hand on your chest, a clap of your hands together, and a snap being clicking. The patter goes 'boom, snap, clap, boom, boom, snap, clap snap' repeated. 
This easy body percussion sequence demonstrates that various parts of the body can be used to create various sounds with differing pitches, volume, pace, and more.
