         <description><![CDATA[<div>During this time period being post Civil War, the politics were of course greatly separated between the Northern and Southern United States; a war torn nation trying to reform itself. A lot of problems and political view changes had arose in this time period such as many racial relation problems and also the impacts on politics from the industrial revolution with multiple monopolies and there relation to the governments extent on its Laissez-faire attitude. During this time much of the majority of politics were Republican ruled with only two Democratic Presidents in the era.From 1865-1900 the U.S. presidents transitioned from Abraham Lincoln to Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, James Garfield, Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison, Grover Cleveland again, and finally William McKinley.   </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Women</strong><br>Simple Victorian dresses<br>Most women made their dresses <br>For richer people they would have fancy clothing, such as clothes made of silk <br>Fabric was mostly paisleys, stripes, and floral<br>Colors were browns, greens, blues, purples and pinks<br>Fabric was made of linen, cotton and silk<br><br><strong>Men</strong><br>Women normally made their clothes, and if they had more money they could have factories in bigger cities send some out <br>Denim was the main material of pants and so was linen<br>Suspenders, button up shirts, and suits <br>Plain fabric types, and made of cotton and linen<br><br><strong>Indian Woman</strong><br>Animal hide was the main material<br>They used beads to decorate their dresses<br>They painted designs for different events<br>Belts, shawls, skirts<br>They had thread <br>for designing <br><br><strong>Indian Men</strong><br>They had pants and usually a shirt<br>Made of animal hide and decorated with beads and designs in thread<br>If they have a higher ranking they normally have better and fancier clothing</div>]]></description>
