<title>SLIS 742 - Documenting Your Impact on Student Achievement (Week 14) by Calli Collins</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/calli_mlis/c8rvabwp8ih2</link>
<description>You have made it to the end of the course and this is our last session! The topic of advocating for the importance of your role in supporting student achievement with evidence seems to be an appropriate way to end our time together. It brings us full circle back to the beginning of the course when you learned about your curricular role and its importance in the school instructional community. Now, more than ever, you must be able to document your value as a member of the school&#39;s faculty.

If you are completing your proram with one or more internships, you will be expected to be able to articulate your understanding of ways that data is collected on the library instructional program, student progress in learning information skills, and how this progress can be shared as part of program advocacy. The strategies suggested in this session, supported by an array of resources in an accompanying wiki, should also help you to start planning for how you will address this effort in your own library program. I recommend adding the link to the wiki to your social bookmarks for later reference.

Learning Outcomes:
• Collect relevant data to document the impact of the library program on student achievement
• Share collected data to promote the library program
• Use collected data to advocate for your program’s needs.</description>
