Jessica is a YouTuber who introduced me to the words ‘Ambulatory Wheelchair User’ and has videos surrounding the topics of Disabilities and how disabled people are affected, either by other people, school, work or government. She frequently discusses topics that normally doesn’t get discussed due to how ignorant the world can be. I bring her up because she uses her platform to educate and share information, she also talks about various other topics, including LGBTQIA+ topics.

Autism creature discussion

A discussion surrounding the TBH/Autism creature that was created by a Twitter user online in 2021 and it's purpose.

Some view it as a more positive symbol while others see it as dehumanising. I feel like the creature is adorable and is a good symbol to how I sometimes feel as an Autistic person myself.

Mobility aid - walker / walking frame

There is so much stigmatism with using mobility aids, of you don't "look" old or disabled you must not need it according to a lot of the public eye so it's no wonder why when I mention that I use a walking stick, chair or walking framr that people look me up and down and go "why". I don't look like I need to use them, but I do.
