At 14, Iberê was interested in working with computers. He studied technical high school in data processing in his hometown. Until 16, Iberê worked in different jobs. He sold radishes. He was a waiter at the rock bar Cavern Club Bar. He was a wood carver and sold wooden signs with his father Edélcio.

At 17, Iberê wanted a life with more adventures and decided to be a journalist. His first college entrance exam was in 2000, but he did not pass to the second phase. With the money he earned working with fertilizers, Iberê started a prep course. In FUVEST 2001, he finished in 53rd place. After the result, his money was gone, so he studied alone, twelve hours a day. He became interested in Chemistry and Physics. In the next FUVEST, he entered USP and moved to São Paulo.

Around the second half of 2008, Iberê Thenório created the YouTube channel Manual do Mundo. With his wife, the idea was to make a channel with useful tips to help in daily life, based on scientific concepts.
