The Fine Arts Museum is located at 97A Pho Duc Chinh street, Nguyen Thai Binh ward, District 1. It is one of the most famous locations for tourists in Ho Chi Minh city. The ticket fee is usually 30 000 VND, but if you have student ID card, you will get a 50% discount, which means it only costs 15 000 VND. The construction was built in 1929, inaugurated in 1934. It is the harmonious combination of Asian and European architecture, designed by Mr. Rivera - a French architect. The building was originally the family mansion of a businessman named Hua Bon Ha - one of the richest men at that time.

Three-storeyed construction was built in the style of Art-deco architecture that harmonizes the most quintessential values from the Asian and European fine arts school. The whole construction is a U-shaped house, at the rear of the main building is a small courtyard with a lot of sunlight. It consists of three main buildings:

The first building is located at Pho Duc Chinh street. It has the collection of artworks of the artists who studied at Indochina college and Gia Dinh college of Fine Arts before 1975. You can also see the collection after 1975 in this building.

The building in the middle is the second one. It is a seasonal exhibition area, displaying major collections and personal collections of art works.

The last one is the one facing Nguyen Thai Binh street. It displays Ancient-Contemporary Arts: stone artifacts, ceramic artifacts, wood artifacts and bronze artifacts.

You can keep your luggages in the wardrobe at the right of the main entrance of each building, so you don’t have to carry these all day long. And remember that you are not allowed to touch the artifacts displayed. If you did, the bell would ring and the guards would come to blame you. You also have to pay 300 000 VND if you want to take photos with a professional camera, but there is no fee when you take photos with a mobile phone. Last but not least, don’t make too much noise because people need the quiet atmosphere to look at those artworks and artifacts.

The Fine Art Museum is a nice place for tourists to see the culture of Vietnamese people. So if you have the chance to come to VietNam, you will not be disappointed when you see it.

However, Fine Arts Museum of Ho Chi Minh city is one of the rare ones that makes me fall in love with it at the first sight.

Fine Arts Museum is one of the largest museums in Ho Chi Minh city. The Museum is located at 97A Pho Duc Chinh street, District 1 and is currently operated by the state, exhibiting wonderful collections of objects of artistic value in a variety of materials and of aesthetic value. The ticket fee is usually 30,000vnd, but if you are a student and you bring your ID card, you will get a 50% discount. Fine Arts Museum of Ho Chi Minh city is the residence of a Chinese-born businessman named Hua Bon Hoa. One of the richest and most famous people in Saigon at that time. This building is built in a large campus in the Art-deco architectural style. An architectural style that harmoniously combines the two art schools of Asia and Europe. Ho Chi Minh City Museum currently consists of one basement and three floors. The museum consists of three main buildings: the fine art exhibition area is located on Pho Duc Chinh street, the middle area is a seasonal exhibition area and the area on Nguyen Thai Binh street displays ancient fine arts and sculptures. And there are special notes when you visit this museum. You can shoot movies, take photos, but not with flash, spotlights, tripods, selfie sticks, etc. Besides, do not bring food, liquids, bottles, banned substances into the exhibition area. Moreover, walk lightly, speak softly, do not laugh loudly, disorderly, causing noise to affect other visitors. And don’t bring pets, litter, smoke, ... and other behaviors that affect the museum's beauty. Finally, follow the instructions of museum staff or guides.

All in all, Fine Arts Museum of Ho Chi Minh city is absolutely worth a visit, for those who want to learn about works of art. I would certainly put it in a must-see destination for any tourists visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
