Some possible causes could be having a family history of color vision deficiency, certain eye diseases, certain health problems, like diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, or multiple sclerosis (MS), certain medicines, etc. You can also be born with it, or can happen due to an injury with the retina, or can happen due to age & cataracts.

There are simple eye tests your doctor can do, since there is no cure and its typically inherited, there are accommodations for those who are color blind like visual aids, glasses & contacts, & some even do things like gene therapy.

How I Would Incorporate As A Teacher:

As a teacher, I would make sure I'm able to accommodate & make extra time for the student. I would make sure the student gets the help they need on assignments & classroom activities, or even seeing the school counselor & having a meeting with their guardians on what works best for them at home, & what they think could help me as a teacher make sure their child gets the education that they deserve.
