My name is Leiah. I am new to ARC (and the sacramento region). I recently expressed interest in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Sac city college, this class is among the many requirements for the program. I am very excited for this course, I have always been interested in psychology.  
Just a little fun- facts about me: I'm a big football fan! The Oakland Raiders are my team!! I grew up in the Bay Area and moved "up here" a little over a year ago with my other half and our four legged child.

Steps to success: I believe my steps to success to achieving this course are discpline and time management, I work full time and will be taking another class. In addition, I have many personal goals outside of work and school that I'm determined to achieve.
I found Carol Dweck's research on fixed and growth mindsets very fascinating. Periodically I catch myself having a fixed mindset in certain situations. I also watched her TED Talk and was intrigued when she spoke of 'the power of yet'.
