One day a group of friends decided to go to the lake. While they were swimming, they saw somebody floating on the water. They swam over to make sure they were ok, when they realized he had, had a heart attack. They pulled him out of the water as quickly as possible. Once they got him on shore, they checked their surrounding .First, Rebecca checked for scene safety. (Hannah)After checking the scene Rebecca stepped up to check for RESPONSIVENESS by tapping the man's shoulders & calling the name that was monogrammed on his shorts ( Victoria cook ) . After Rebecca noticed he wasn't responded she checked with the carotid pulse for a heartbeat ( chaele) The patient stared to do something called AGONAL BREATHS (karlee Mitchell) Once the rescuer noticed this, he CALLED 911 AND REQUESTED AN AED (Emily Oveeto ) If the person has a head injury , instead of performing the head, chin maneuver you could also perform the jaw thrust maneuver (rickeya mahone) .Then you start CPR and wait for the AED to arrive ( Cooper Thigpib) .when performing CPR make sure your hands are on the LOWER PART OF THE STURNUM.(jasamine.broadwater)when the are arrives the first thing you do is TURN THE AED
ON. (Wes McIntosh) When performing CPR you must watch and make sure there is a chest rise. (chaele White)The rescuer noticed a PACEMAKER in the victims chest so he placed the AED to the side of the pacemaker. (Tenisha vattle) Make sure the victims chest is dry before you PLACE AED PADS.Then after placing pads follow directions from AED, when ANALYZING RHYTHM you must CLEAR PATIENT(nikki welch) Once it says SHOCK ADVISED stay clear of patient. tim. if there are two rescuers one will be giving chest compressions while the other gives two breaths over one second.chris The chest rises should be one second apart(Shayla). You need to have a full chest recoil so the heart can refill(Lexie) in. After the compressions you have to do HEAD TILT CHIN LIFT and give breaths (Kara). You should be able to see VISIBLE CHEST RISE (Julia)The victim Was still unresponsive and the AED then told us to give us a shock. (Cat)<del> Start CPR as soon as the chest has full chest recoil ( Raegin Flanigan). </del>Be sure not to give BREATHS OVER 1 SECOND(Jared Martin). When giving CPR you start with 30 compressions and give 2 breaths. (Aaliyah Germany)You notice your partner is getting tired while giving compressions, and you offer to switch positions when the AED is analyzing the victim. ( Maureen Sutphin ) The AED says SHOCK ADVISED A . Everybody preforming CPR on the victim says CLEAR PATIENT while the shock is given . ( Gabby Willis) After the shock is given, resume CPR, if the AED instructs you to do so. (Raegin Flanigan) Each rescuar should go though 5 sets of compression or 2 minute cycle befor switch CPR rescuer after one person is done with sets (Chris Newsome) you want to make sure you going more than 2 inches when performing cpr and an adult.(Caroline Marin) Make sure the rescuers switch every 5 CYCLES OR 2 MINUTES. (nadia cummings) Also, make sure the chest recoils while doing chest compressions. ( grace young) If you see one of the rescuer's preforming CPR wrong you should correct them and continue (Kaitlyn skvarca)
