In the beginning, I had to "relearn" medicine because the way it is practiced in the US, is very different from the way medicine is practiced in other countries. Also, I had to adapt to a multiple-choice questions evaluation system. Some time ago, I considered that this type of question could not assess knowledge but with time, I have seen that these questions indeed assess very well even high order thinking skills. I have used this to train my students (especially the ones that are recent migrants) to interpret and develop skills to answer multiple-choice questions.
