Many people refer to people who participate in freeganism as freegans. Freegans are essentially people who go 'dumpster diving". They find food, clothing, and even home decor left in the dumpster to rot and be taken to the dump. I think this relates to freeganism because they are taking an unwanted item and making use for it by either eating it or helping the homeless out.
