In HS, the school is responsible for identifying students with disabilities and providing services for them. In college, students have to disclose disabilities and ask for services themselves.

If students are under 18 they go to there I E P meetings, Parents can come to meetings, In high school you can say something about your disability but in college you don't have to say anything and hide it.

In HS my parents are more involved but in college my parents are not as involved. HS: student is required to IEP meetings at 14. College: have more knowledge about disability and advocate accommodations.

High school is different because when you are 18 and younger, parents are still parenting you and most of the time in control of you
In college when your out of high school you are not on your parents ground anymore and starting to make that transition into adulthood having more responsibilities.

Parents are no longer required to accompany their student to IEP meetings
You can choose if you want to or disclose your disability to others or not
You would have to advocate for yourself more than you would in high school

High School:

It is the school's responsibility of providing the student services/needs because of their disability that is included in the IEP
The student is required to attend his/her IEP meeting starting at the age of 14 until they graduate
A parent/guardian is required to accompany the student to their IEP meetings
