"Anayeli" means grace and beauty of the night. When I asked my mom why they chose my name she simply said she just like the sound of it. But then she said if she didn't chose Anayeli she would've choose daisy. I like my name since its easy for my friends and family to give me nicknames like "ana", "nana", and "ana banana".

I bet on losing dogs

This song is quite sad in a sense but also comforting which is why I always liked the song. "I bet on losing dogs I know they're losing, and I'll pay for my place by the ring
Where I'll be looking in their eyes when they're down, I'll be there on their side." This means that no matter what even if your losing, someone will always be there for you even at your worse. It reminds me how my mom would tell me that she was taught that family always will be there for you, and how no matter what she'll be there for us. This had affected me since now I family means a lot to me and I will always be there for them no matter what.

Tamales

One of my favorite foods would have to be tamales since my mom would make it a bunch of time and they always turned out good. Most of the time I get two the first day and then the next there's barely even any leftover. Nowadays I would hide two tamales in the fridge all the way in the back but someone keeps finding it so I never get to eat the tamales I hid.

Pupusas de frijoles

Another favorite food of mine would have to be pupusas especially the one of frijoles. I've started to eat them more often since my mom had learned how to make them since then shes been making them very often. I really like the taste of the pupusas but when you had the red sauce it tastes even better, there's another topping you can had but I forgot the name of it but the topping would have purple lettece,and carrot sliced up into small pieces.

Baggy pants and hoodies

I would wear whatever there is to wear but I would prefer to wear baggy clothes and a hoodie on top. It's something that I've really liked. Although I'm really into the traditional goth style and all the sub cultures of goth. All of those style are always pretty and I would like to dress like that if it wasn't so expensive. Sometimes I would wear my moms old clothes when I have nothing to wear so my sense of style is really random.

This quote was something I heard when I was younger in 3rd grade. Since then the phrase had stuck to me and I would tell this quote to my friend when they feeling down and they need encouragement. I would also say this to myself since its a remind that you can achieve whatever it is in life as long as keep believing in yourself.

My hero

My hero would have to be my mom since shes always been there for me through thickk and thin. She has taught me what's wrong and what's right and how to behave right and to have manners. She helped me grow into the person that I am today. Even if we disagree on things I know shes doing it because its what's best for me.

La Llorona

When I was younger I was told about "La Llorona" and how she would be found at a bridge crying for her children and how if you hear her crying you better run. But my parents had also told me that would come for young kids who misbehave and who throw tantrums. Once I heard that I stopped misbehaving and throwing tantrums since I was so terrified of La Llorona that it stuck to me. Until I got older I realized it was a fake story just like bloody Mary, since then my parents also told my sister about the story and she did the same thing I did when she found out what the Llorona does to crying children who misbehaves she decided to keep her mouth shut since then.

Identity V / Volleyball

One of my hobbies is playing videogames but especially this game called Identity V. I like the fact the characters in the game had button eyes just like in coraline and that you can buy pretty skins for characters. I also liked how there would be four survivors and 1 hunter whose supposed to make sure the survivors don't escape the manor and the survivors have to escape from the manor. Another hobby that that I have is playing volleyball, I like how you have to use your hands to hit the ball instead of your feet. Also how you need teamwork to win against the other team, the sport is super fun and interesting to watch and play.

Bilingual

When I was younger the first language I learned was spanish but I wasn't that great at it. So when I started to go to school the teacher would only speak English to us and slowly I started being unable to talk very well in Spanish.Thats when my mom decided to put me in the dual language program since 2nd grade until 8th grade. Since then my writing and understanding of Spanish has improved but my pronunciation isn't the best and I do struggle a bit. I also would like to learn more languages in the future especially Russian and many more but that will take a lot of time until I'm fluent. Being bilingual has helped a lot in different situations where I have to translate for my mother who isn't very fluent in English. In other situation where someone only knows Spanish so I can still talk to them about something I need or if they need help.

me harás mil pedazos quiérelo." This song is one of the many songs I would hear when going to partys and especially at quinceaneras. I love the song since the vibe it gives off makes me wannna dance and it makes me happy to hear the song. I also really like this song because my sister had this song for one of her dances for her quince two years ago. Even though the lyrics sound sad the song itself reminds me of old memories that I'll always cherish.

Jutiapa, Guatemala

Most of my family is in Jutiapa, Guatemala which is why this place matters a lot to me. Since I've never gone to visit but I hope one day I'll be able to go to visit the rest of family. This means a lot to me since that was the place my mom was born and where she grew up in when she was younger.
