Indonesian: Indonesian people are generally polite and friendly, but they are also conservative and traditional. They prioritize family and elders. They tend to express emotions in a more subtle way. Indonesia has many and varied cultures since it consists of many regions from Sabang to Merauke.
Western: Western people are more open-minded and flexible but they are also individualist and express their emotions openly and directly. 

To cultivate Indonesian culture, we must be proud of our culture first. Wear Indonesian-made clothes like batik in many occasions, learn how to dance traditional dances and play traditional music instruments. Being polite, kind and caring to our family, teachers and friends are also a way to show our Indonesian culture.

4. Indonesian and Western have many differences in the way of life. Example :
- Western people eat mainly using knife and fork. Indonesian using hand or spoon.
- Western eat more meat or pasta. Indonesian mainly eat rice. 
- Western people use the word "you" to address other people without exception. In Indonesia we have some words to address other people according the relationship. It's not polite in Indonesia to call someone older using "kamu", use "Bapak/Ibu" instead.
- Western people like to hangout on the club and drink alcohol all night. In Indonesia it's considered taboo, especially for girls, to hangout till midnight.
- Western people usually move from their parents' house after graduate. Indonesian tend to keep tight relationship with their family. Many choose to live under their parents' roof unless they have to (marry or to get job).

To cultivate the Indonesia culture, we have to practice that in our daily life. Use good Indonesian language everyday, with manner. Wear local product and participate in traditional ceremony.
