My hometown is located in the southwest of China, many areas are still relatively backward, there is a problem that parents do not pay attention to the education of girls. So, with this as a backdrop, my team wrote a screenplay in which the protagonist is a young girl from a poor area who is faced with inadequate educational opportunities. The script highlights the challenges and inequities she faces, and explores the possibility of solving the problem through her tenacity and hard work. During the shooting process, we selected real scenes in poor areas as shooting locations. We connect with local schools and invite some students to participate in the play to make the story more vivid and real.
Before making this short film, we put a lot of time and effort into researching relevant social issues and survey data. We read studies on education and watched documentaries to learn more about the various aspects of the issue. This process has given me a deeper understanding of the inequities in children's education.
This activism experience has led me to many things: I have become an influential storyteller, using art to raise a voice for social issues. And, through interaction and feedback with the audience, I saw the impact of the short film, really touching people's hearts and inspiring them to join the action to address inequalities in children's education.
By making short art films, I not only convey a message of social justice, but also pave the way for wider social discussion and action. First of all, I would like to admit that our group did not do a good job in the preparation of the speech. Due to inadequate time management and inadequate communication, we did not complete the assigned tasks on time. This causes us to lack some key details and information in our speeches, affecting our overall expression and persuasiveness. We also did not reserve enough time for rehearsal and outline improvement, which had a certain impact on the fluency of our speech.
On the other hand, the Body Positive questionnaire we did was a positive piece of work. We designed a questionnaire to understand people's perceptions and attitudes towards positive body energy. The data collected provides us with valuable information that helps us better understand the importance and impact of this issue.
However, there is still some room for improvement in the questionnaire. First, our sample size may be relatively small, which may limit our representation of the views of the group as a whole.
