Imagine Dragons is a pop-rock band that grew up listening to and which carved the sound of my music. Imagine Dragons consists of lead singer Dan Reynold, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman with heavy influence from bands like Nirvana, U2, The Police, The Beatles, Cat Stevens etc... and with the sound struggles through audiences of las Vegas they created a uniquely loud sound of their own which is now presented as new school rock and pop rock. Just like Jon Bellion Imagine Dragons also extend their arms to other genres of music and styles such as rap, grunge, metal and collaborate with other artists like Lil Wayne, logic etc.. but yet remain in their circle preserving their unique sound. but what really made me move and become a firebreather was their message and how they confronted real-life struggles like depression, loneliness, LGBTQ issues, social issues and other discriminations throughout their music and their voice which also made many successful impacts throughout their journey which hit me hard onto my work to be more powerful, impactful and meaningful that does better to the world just like Imagine Dragons.

The lead singer Dan Reynolds has a similar approach to kurt corbain when it comes to singing aggressive vocals in songs like Believer, Natural, Cutthroat etc.... also Dan Reynolds is heavily influenced by Nirvana where the Nevermind Album is in his top 5 list of albums all time (Lentini, 2022) and he mentions "While I say that I don’t listen to rock, I really listened to Nevermind," he admitted. "I’m a child of the ’90s. Nothing made me feel quite like this record. I don’t know if anything ever will because I also just identified with everything about this at that time period of my life. Cat Steven inspired Dan Reynolds emotionally and helped him to get through his struggles "I grew up listening to a lot of Cat Stevens. I remember when I was about 12, I was dealing with depression for the first time in my life. I listened to Father and Son by Cat Stevens. And that was the first song that really moved me to tears" (Kelly, 2021). This inspired him to become an idol to help and heal other people through music as he experienced. which brought Imagine Dragons as one of the big artists who speaks and stands for depression, cancer, insecurities, social issues and other struggles that people face throughout their lives. through festivals such as Love Loud, big movements, documentaries, donation camps (TRF GALA) etc...

The Beetles

The Beatles was one the biggest inspirations of the whole band. where imagine dragons is also a 4 man Band and has a very similar resemblance to The Beatles and has been the foundation of their music according to the band's interview with CBS NEWS on Feb 8, 2014 (NEWS, 2014) and in another interview, the frontman and songwriter of the band Dan Reynolds mentions how grew up listening to The Beatles how that resonated through and made an effect on their music " Those are the musicians that really resonate with me, and that's the stuff I really grew up on, like Paul Simon and Beatles and just singer/songwriter." (Baltin, 2021)

J Dilla was one the main influences of Jon Bellion where Jon Bellions music has many similarities which show the inspirations from J Dilla's music such as "Dilla Time", sampling, drum programming and productions which inspired Jon to use the AKAI MPC 3000 just as J Dilla. The instrument became one of his main go-to productions and live performance instrument for Jon Bellion. Jon mentions in an interview that when he was asked "Your drum programming and production stand out as very strong. Who are the producers that you look up to?" his answer was "One of my favourite producers in the whole world is J-Dilla, who’s no longer with us."(Vasishta, 2014).
