Grindavik, Iceland the blue lagoon (Lotus Eaters)

I chose to compare the blue lagoon to the Lotus Eaters because it was a truly unique experience. The Lotus eaters lived on an exotic island and were extremely addicted to a substance found in the islands flora. The blue lagoon was also on an exotic island and had some pretty strange sights. The blue lagoon in particular was odd because it was basically a lake that was naturally being heated from underground resulting in water over 100 degrees F (according to google) while the air surrounding it was under 20 degrees F.

My pet Foxhound Jaxon (Argus)

I'm comparing my pet dog Jax to Argus from the Odyssey because he is a very loyal dog that yearns for my return every weekend. Jax is similar to Argus in the sense that on the weekdays when I don't see him I often receive photos from my father of Jax lying on my bed (he paws at the doorknob and opens it) looking incredibly lonely. He has also always returned home after running away, when we first got him he would jump over the fence to chase deer or cats and after hours if searching for him in the woods I would receive a text that he was back at the house already.

D&D 3d animation YOMI Hustle style replay (Trojan Horse)

Context: YOMI Hustle is a pixelated 2d indie fighting game aka Your Only Move Is Hustle. The game is somewhat turn based but both players go at the same time and every action takes a certain amount of frames (less frames=faster action) with the ultimate goal of bringing the opponents hit points to 0. Games can take a long time especially with experienced players who overthink but after the game is finished the game will stitch together every action taken by both players to make a fast paced incredible replay.

My idea was for something similar to a YOMI replay system for a D&D combat instead of YOMI. Dungeons and Dragons combat is similar to YOMI in the sense that it takes a very long to complete and it has several players all taking different actions, bonus actions, and reactions in the span of 6 seconds (it takes much longer but in game it happens in 6 secs). I compare this idea to the Trojan horse because if done correctly a 3d rendered animated big fight scene that follows D&D rules and player mistakes, stubbornness, etc would look absolutely amazing.

St. Lazarus chain (Aeolus' Gift)

On my 12th Birthday my father passed down to me his grandfather or my great grandfather's chain with St. Lazarus. St. Lazarus resurrection and hope, these chains (there are 4 or 5 in the family) are passed down as kind of a charm of good faith, they're more so supposed to protect in my family than for healing as St. Lazarus would imply. I compare this to Aeolus' Gift because I haven't taken the chain off of my person since the day I got it and it means very much to me and my family.

Bus ride in the Dominican Republic (Cyclops Cave)

While returning from some activity in DR I can't remember what exactly, but we had to get on a bus to go back to the resort. On the bus was me, my aunts, my cousins, my father, my grandfather, and my grandfathers wife. My grandfather who I never remembered being a big fan of baseball was wearing a Yankees cap. Another passenger on the bus was intoxicated and noticed the cap while boarding and made some comment about another team to my grandfather, again I don't remember exactly. Even though they were on opposite sides of the they argued for quite a while about their teams. Eventually my grandfather made a comment that made the other passenger extremely mad and he got up out of his seat to presumably strike my grandfather, but his girlfriend made him sit back down. After a few minutes of no arguing or nothing the other passenger restarted the comments and insults and again got angry. They did the same song and dance of heated arguments a few times with my grandfather sometimes rising from his seat in response to the aggression. After we got off the highway the passenger and his girlfriend were both kicked off the bus for causing disruptions. In the end no fights happened between them but those moments were still a large conflict that we barely made it out of, what would've happened if we were kicked off the bus too?
