What makes a good story?

Every good story has a beginning, middle , an end, and a great plot. A plot consists of an introduction, rising action, climax, falling action, and a resolution. Of course, stories also need a main character, a setting that’s essential to the narrative, meaningful choices that determine the outcome of the story, and how the reader reacts. But most importantly, a story needs a situation that changes or more commonly, a character that changes.

The plot for the story is pretty good. In my opinion it is really exciting especially near the middle with the informer and the guy on the turret . The ending was really good as well. There is a lot of action.

Introduction (beginning) - The introduction was where it was introducing the setting which was June in Dublin, Ireland at sunset. There was also a war going on. After the setting it also started introducing the main character aka The Sniper.
Rising action - In the rising action, the sniper is kinda just hanging out and then he notices a women in a Shaw talking to a guy in a truck and she's pointing at him. After that someone tries to shoot him. The enemy sniper misses the first shot but then shoots the sniper in the arm.
Climax (middle)- I think the climax of the story is when the sniper locates the enemy sniper and then devises a plan to take out the other sniper.
Falling Action - when the snipers plan is put into action and the events that follow.
Resolution (ending) - The ending of the story is when the sniper kills the enemy sniper and discovers it was his brother all along.

Conflict - The war that is going on.
The character is vulnerable especially when he gets shot.
Choices - If he wanted to risk smoking or not. Or if he wanted to celebrate at the end but he decided to go see the man he killed.
Tension - The story was very tense with the war going on, and the sniper being shot at and all the killing and what not.
Point of view - It only talks about the snipers thought and his choices.
Sitting - you are able to read this story pretty quickly it isn't very long. You are able to keep reading it because it is exciting.
