  • Rick has communicated to the Canadian population about his story which many with disabilities could relate 
  • He has raised $26 million from his 26 month, 34 country, 40,000 kilometer “Man in Motion Tour”
  • Rick wheeled for 8 hours a day and covered an average of 85 km a day
  • Organization has multiple programs including, “Rating and Certification”, “Personal Training”, and “BC Accessibility grants”
  • Rating and Certification is a program where the foundation has professionals evaluate commercial, institutional, and residential buildings on the accessibility within these buildings
  • Buildings can be either rated ‘RHF Accessibility Certified’ or ‘RHF Accessibility Certified Gold.’ 
  • Over 1100 buildings have been evaluated, which allows people with disabilities to have an idea of the difficulty of accessibility will be in the building 
  • The organization also offers training to rate buildings on accessibility, not only will this provide jobs, but it’ll also teach people the impact on the social environment people with disabilities have
  • They also grant $20,000 to certified architects who are able to make improvements to buildings that make them more accessible to people with disabilities
