Which is a gang on the east side of town (the poor side) The gang includes, Pony boy, Soda, Darry, Two-Bit, Dally, Johnny, Steve, Curly. Ponyboy is the narrator in the story, and the most important character of all. He is the youngest in the gang but most determined. He is brave because if there is a fight, you bet Ponyboy is in  the middle of it. Also they think that just because the socs are rich and a higher class that they just have to be rivals but really they have a far amount of things in common. Which is the theme in the story. Including when Johnny killed one of the socs, and they had to hide from he police. Also, when the church burnt down, and Johnny died. But the main conflict evolves Ponyboys life in general. He is dragged in to all of the violence and the Gang. Ponyboy is the youngest out of all of the greasers and does some really bad stuff.
