Witch trials started in Salem Massachusetts early 1692. Witches were believed to have been sent from Satan to try to ruin the utopia being built. People were accused of being witches, and some teens became inspired by witches because of boredom. Teens did not have many forms of entertainment since normal books were against the rules of the Puritans. People who were believed to be witches were killed.
