A ghutrah is a traditional Arab scarf. They can also be white or a red-checkered patten. The women in Qatar wear an abaya and shayla over regular clothing. A abaya is basically long , loose dress that has long sleeves and covers the ankles. The Abayas and shaylas are usually black and with a decorative pattern.
