I was born in Colombia and raised in South Florida my whole life

Spanish is my first language. My family speaks mostly Spanish, so I am very comfortable understanding Spanish. But when I moved away for college, I stopped speaking Spanish every day, which really impacted my speaking ability. I am way less fluent now and have trouble articulating my thoughts clearly.

I have really enjoyed seeing how many different paths there are in vet med and the people within it!

Manatees are my favorite animals! I also really like cows.

I'm from Wisconsin, born and raised.

I have about 4.5 years of Spanish learning experience, but it has been 8 years since I've studied it... I'm looking forward to refreshing my knowledge!

I love the connections I can make with animals and clients when they are dealing with long term issues, talking about the human-animal bond (both domestic and wild), and being a voice for the voiceless.

Currently, my favorite animal is an octopus! "The Soul of an Octopus" by Sy Montgomery changed my perspective on them forever.

I have taken 5 years of Spanish l but it has been about 9 years since my last Spanish class!

I love urgent care and surgery and that no 2 days are ever the same in terms of the cases you see.

I love how interconnected veterinary medicine is and how we can make such an impact on human and animal lives.

I took Spanish from elementary school to high school. It's been at least 10 years since I last studied it so I'm a little rusty.

I love getting to apply what I've learned so far in actual practice.

I took 4 years of Spanish in high school, and I practiced after, but not as consistently in the last few years. I am most comfortable reading but I do get nervous to speak!

I'm from Southern California and been in Colorado for about 8 years.

I have taken Spanish a bit in middle school and in high school for 3years. My conversational skills are lacking and I find that I am most comfortable with reading comprehension.

So far my favorite part about vet med is the connections I get to form with my cohort/peers as well as clients and their animals. It truly feels like a community to me.

My favorite animal is a moose since they are a great mix of a cow and horse.
