How slavery works is the following; first, the overseers take you away from your home, from your family, from your freedom next they take you some place to sell you for money and take you to most of the time a different country. That trip takes a very long time and you are crammed in the bottom of a ship, living in the horrible stench of urine and you are barely fead. You aren't even at the plantation yet, this is just the terrifying beginning.
