E-tivity 3: What is the relationship between a restaurants ability to generate revenue and consumer review?

88% of the consumers trust other consumer reviews which is being posted online and only 72% of consumers will take action only after reading a positive review. The relationship between a restaurant’s ability to generate revenue and consumer reviews is that if the restaurant has positively impacted its customers for its quality of food and good customer service, these customers will put up their reviews online about their experience dining at the restaurant. These reviews will affect the decision of other potential customers that is searching for a good restaurant to dine at. If they see good reviews of the restaurants, there is a high chance of them visiting the restaurant. If they have seen negative reviews of the restaurant, they are most likely to find for another restaurant to dine at.

Individual Activity 3:
What is the relationship between a restaurants ability to generate revenue and consumer review?

A customer review would affect a restaurants ability to generate revenue. Customers tend to share their experience at the restaurant which makes it credible. If another person were to see the review, it could cloud their judgement on whether to eat there or not since everyone would want to eat somewhere nice and worth their money. If a customer were to give a bad review, potential customers would have a bad impression of the restaurant and would not want to visit it. This would result in a loss of revenue for the restaurant. Whereas, if a customer were to give good reviews, potential customers who are looking for a restaurant to dine at would be more convinced to visit from the good impression gained by the review.
