The students spent more time talking then coping down notes.
8th-  This class was assigned a chapter test when they walked in. The teacher told them they could use their notes for the previous week if they had them. Most of the students were struggling to find them, but eventually found them. They had chosen a topic that went along with the holocaust and had to type up the information they had found. The students took advantage of a teacher setting behind a desk to teach. There is more joking and laughter going on. I feel teachers with older kids need to have a sense or humor, but also need to be able to keep control in the classroom. Our 6th graders are the "leaders" of the building. many of them are assigned to teachers to help them make copies, work with students or other things they need done before school. Students were walking the halls before the first bell rang with their friends.
