The Junkers J 1, nicknamed the blechesel was an experimental monoplane aircraft developed by Junkers. This was the first all metal aircraft in the world which gave us a big leap into the aircraft world. This aircraft was manufactured early on in the first world war which is an era that aircraft designers relied on materials such as fabric covered wooden, these make wooden structures for these aircrafts braced with wires. So this aircraft changed the industry completely as the j1 was a revolutionary development in aircraft design. The all metal aircraft design he developed the cantilevered, detachable wing, the pressurized cabin and the lightweight construction method are still standard in aircraft construction today.

The jet engines can be dated back to the invention of the aeolipile around 1,50bc. The key to a practical jet engine was the gas turbine used to extract energy from the engine itself to drive the compressor. Sir Frank Whittle an English aviation engineer and pilot who invented the jet engine. Whittle was only 22 when he first thought to use a gas turbine engine to power an airplane. The young officer tried unsuccessfully to obtain official support for the study and development of his ideas but was ultimately forced to pursue his research on his own initiative. He received his first patent on turbojet propulsion in January 1930.
