Hello! My name is Kamilla Sanchez and currently, I am 16 years old and a junior in highschool. Some of my hobbies are researching on different topics, producing, singing, and debating. Growing up with the arts, I've learned and loved many artists that have shaped my personality through the years; for instance, Bjork, Rosalia, and Nina Simone. My favorite food is french fries, especially the ones at Wingstop. If I were to recommend a place to visit in Miami, I'd choose Lincoln Road, filled with retail stores, amazing restaurants and contains beautiful sculptures to visualize.

In regards to my future, I envision many things for myself. I want to major in philosophy, preferably at Stanford, but UF is good as well. I've always aspired to become a Lawyer in order to serve the government and make a difference in accordance to the law and my personal growth.

The biggest thing i'm proud of is my persistence because it allows me to always chase after what I hope for and never give up no matter what life throws at me. One of my accomplishments is being able to internship at the State Attorney's Office being able to collaborate with government officials and give insight on different cases happening in my area. For the near future, I hope to win competitions specifically in Mock Trial and Speech & Debate. My strengths are being to analyze text, memorization and sustain arguments on the spot. One of my weaknesses is not knowing when to say no at vulnerable situations. Being able to try to inspire yourself is something I highly value in myself and others and the intent to thrive in order to accomplish your dreams.

A moment where I felt on top of the world is when I won my Mock Trial competition in Stanford because I only had a few days of preparation for my case and it was situated in a high pressure environment. For the most exhilarating thing that's ever happened to me is watching a criminal trial in real life and being able to experience an actual realistic view of how a trial goes on in real life.

My favorite assignment i've ever done in class was a project I did for World History on land-based empires because I was able to research on a timeline I wasn't aware of, which led me to become more educated on the history of other parts of the world. Some cool projects I'd like to do in the future is more presentations on different views and be able to visualize others perspectives on the same topics through these presentations.
