This Reading center I created is based on a book my kiddos have been loving. "Skeleton Meets The Mummy" by Steve Metzger. This center Has two different ways for the children to be able to retell the story. first by including a copy of the book allows children to engage with it in their own way. secondly the first of the activities is including themed blocks, this allows the children to recreate the story through play and interact with the characters themselves. lastly I've included a sequence of events activity, in a ziplock bag including cut out scenes from the story, glue and paper slips with phrases like "First, Next, Last" or "Beginning,Middle,End" and some paper, would allow the children to place the scenes in order as they happen in the story.
