Circular Pattern- allows you to replicate a sketch in a circular pattern

Revolve tool- rotates a two dimensional sketch around a set axis a certain amount of degrees to create a three dimensional object.

Trim Tool- cuts away unneeded parts of a 2D drawing.

The Hole tool - it makes all type of holes for any situation.

Fillet- makes an object curved by taking two sides and curving them together

My Favorite tool from Activity 5.5 was the hole tool. I chose the hole tool because it is very helpful in many situations, as an engineer you are most likely going to have to use the hole tool to design something that comes together, so knowing how to use it will be very helpful. You would use the hole tool by creating a sketch and on the sketch you put a point to designate where you want your hole. You would then click the finish sketch button and click hole. After that you click on the point and choose what type of hole you want to create, either go all in the part or just a little bit in, or if you want grooves and an angle to hide screws you can apply those features.

My favorite tool from Activity 5.2 was the filet tool, the filet tool is valuable to build parts that have curves in them, for example, the desk do our work on. The engineer who designed the desk could have made a plain square, but he but a curve on the edges to make it more appealing. To use the filet tool you would click the filet button and choose the distance you want your part to be filet, then you click two of the sides you want to filet and inventor does all of the work. To me this is a great tool for an engineer to know and understand how to use.

Rectangular Pattern - allows a certain sketch or design to be repeated in a pattern and to put in how many per row and column.

The extrude function allows you to extend a sketch to any length and make a 2d plane into a 3d figure.

i also enjoyed the hole tool which allows you to make a hole in your 3d object at any length and width.

The Revolve Tool- The revolve tool is very valuable for when you need to make a cylinder like object. All you would have to do is make an L instead of a complicated object.
