I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 13 years and we have one son, who is 10. After graduate school I entered the non-profit world where I was a grant writer and prevention specialist for a major medical facility in Wisconsin.  I eventually joined the corporate world, and worked in Pharmaceutical Sales and National Training. 
After traveling way too much and seeing more airports than my home, I gave it all up and stayed home to take care of my beautiful family. 
After a few years off and a move cross-country, I started to substitute teach because no matter where I've gone or what I've done, I always find myself "teaching" others. After a long-term substitute position became available this year, I decided to pursue my secondary 6-12 teaching certificate with Rio Salado, while teaching in Cave Creek.
